Nigerian singer Oludipe David, popularly known as Spyro, has disclosed a troubling experience involving blackmail. Taking to his Instagram stories, the “Who Is Your Guy” crooner revealed that an individual attempted to blackmail him with an alleged sex tape following his confrontation with them over their actions.
Spyro opened up about the ordeal, describing the blackmail as an aftermath of him standing up to someone for their wrongdoing. The artist expressed his disbelief over the individual’s actions, highlighting the hypocrisy of their supposed religious persona.
He noted,
Don’t be deceived, the biggest scams and liars are the ones at the top of religious ladders. They perpetrate evil and quote holy books to support their wrongs. Then come the emotional games and threats. The deception is on another level.”
The singer further explained that the blackmailer sent him threats, including claims of having a woman who accused him of getting her pregnant. Spyro emphasized how individuals sometimes use religion to mask their true intentions, manipulating situations to their benefit.
Spyro shared his disappointment in how some people use religion as a shield for deceitful actions. His revelation sheds light on the darker side of some relationships, where trust is manipulated for selfish gains.
I once called someone out for wrongdoing me, and the next day, the person started confessing scriptures while simultaneously sending threats about releasing sex tapes,” he recounted.
Spyro’s bold decision to address the blackmail underscores the importance of speaking up against manipulative tactics. His experience highlights how public figures often face unique challenges, including being targeted for extortion.
Meanwhile, a viral video on social media has sparked conversations about the emotional toll of heartbreak. The clip, shared widely on X (formerly Twitter), shows a Nigerian man in tears at a hospital after his fiancée ended their relationship.
The video captured the man seated in a hospital chair, visibly heartbroken, while a nurse comforted him. The caption accompanying the video read, “Your cousin ended up in the hospital after his fiancée said it’s over.”
The footage has triggered mixed reactions, with some expressing sympathy for the man and others debating the broader impact of heartbreak on mental health.
