In a resounding display of confidence, Super Falcons’ stand-in coach, Justine Magudu, has affirmed the team’s readiness to face Cameroon in the upcoming 2024 Olympic qualifiers. The Super Falcons recently secured an impressive 5-1 aggregate victory over Ethiopia, and Magudu is undaunted by the prospect of facing Cameroon.
Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses, who secured a convincing 3-0 win against Uganda, will be the Falcons’ next opponents after their 2024 Olympic qualifiers victory. Magudu, representing Coach Waldrum in both legs against Ethiopia, emphasized the Falcons’ preparedness to take on any challenge.
“Whoever comes our way, we will be ready for them. To qualify for the Olympics, you must compete against the best teams and be well-prepared,” he confidently stated.
Cameroon has a history of encounters with Nigeria’s Super Falcons, with one win in their last five meetings, dating back to 2012. Magudu revealed that the Falcons have devised game plans and are fully prepared for the upcoming matches, aiming to secure victory in this significant challenge.
The first leg of the Olympic qualification tie will see the Super Falcons travel to face Cameroon, followed by the second leg on home turf. With their unwavering determination and strong preparation, the Super Falcons are geared up for a showdown that promises intense football action.
