Famous Nigerian Afrobeat musician, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken to the internet to express gratitude to his fans for always supporting and coming out to watch him perform. The singer had on Friday performed at the grand finale of the 2023 Afro Nation Festival in Portugal amidst his baby mama and pregnancy scandal.
He received harsh criticism on social media after Anita Brown and Ivanna Bay, two foreign-based ladies, accused him of having an affair with them even though he was married to Chioma Rowland, his longtime partner.
Although the musician has not yet addressed the topic that is currently dominating online debates, Davido has opted to portray suspense because many of his fans were expecting him to address the charges.
Speaking amid the scandal on his Twitter handle, the singer showed gratitude for a successful Afro Nation performance.
He tweeted:
“Thankful for the most amazing fans, thankful that you come out each time to support and watch me do what I love the most. I don’t take this for granted for real.”
