Nigerian singer Timaya and his American reality TV star girlfriend, Brooke Bailey, have been the talk of the town since they made their relationship public late last year.
The couple, who have been serving couple goals on social media, have once again set the internet abuzz with their latest photoshoot.
Taking to Instagram, Brooke Bailey, the Basketball Wives star, shared intimate photos of the couple in a traditional-themed shoot. In the stunning images, Bailey is seen dressed as an Igbo bride, while Timaya stays true to his roots in a regal Bayelsa attire. The couple was styled by popular celebrity stylist, Swanky Jerry, who made sure they looked nothing short of glamorous.
This comes after the couple’s romantic moments were captured in December when they were spotted holding hands and boarding a private jet. The viral video set the internet on fire, sparking widespread speculation about their blossoming romance.
In a sweet declaration of love to start the year, Brooke Bailey expressed her pride in Timaya, especially during his 3rd annual festival hosted in his hometown. She publicly declared her admiration for him, praising his ability to bring joy to his people.
Interestingly, Timaya had hinted at his preference for foreign women in a previous interview. In February last year, he revealed that he doesn’t date Nigerian women, citing differences in upbringing and values, which he felt could lead to toxic relationships. He compared such relationships to the dynamics of “police and thief,” emphasizing the incompatibility.
Despite never being married, Timaya has two baby mamas and three children. His first baby mama, Barbara, opened up about their relationship, stating that it ended after Timaya started seeing another woman. However, she clarified that despite their romantic split, they maintain a good co-parenting relationship, emphasizing that Timaya does whatever it takes to make himself happy.
Barbara also discussed the challenges of being a single mother, explaining how she strives to remain strong for her children, even when exhausted. Despite the difficulties, she expressed gratitude to God for the strength to navigate the challenges of motherhood.
