Award-winning Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, celebrated her 45th birthday with grace and gratitude, captivating fans with her ageless beauty.
Sharing breathtaking photos on Instagram, she expressed her appreciation for the overwhelming messages, prayers, and gifts she received. Tiwa also highlighted her belief in lasting beauty, saying,
If you fine reach 40, omo you go fine forever o.”
She encouraged her fans to keep the celebrations alive, noting that her birthday lasts all month.
Thank you for all the messages, posts, prayers, and love. This year I really felt special. PS, it’s still my birthday all month, so you can still send gifts,” she added.
Tiwa’s journey this year included a nostalgic reflection on her trip to Saudi Arabia, where she welcomed new fans and appreciated her loyal supporters. She acknowledged her longevity in the industry, stating that after over a decade of performing, every stage, audience, and show remains a cherished moment.
Despite hinting last year that her next album might be her last, Tiwa’s passion for music remains evident. In October, she boldly declared herself part of the Big 3 and confidently stated,
If people were to go talent for talent and mic for mic, I am the big one.”
Tiwa has undoubtedly carved a niche as one of Africa’s leading female artists. Last year, she made history as the first African artist to perform at the Coronation of a British Monarch, delivering a spectacular performance at King Charles III’s ceremony. Reflecting on this, she shared her excitement to one day tell her son, Jamil, about her historic achievement.
In April, Tiwa addressed criticisms claiming she doesn’t support other female artists. Shutting down the reports, she asked, “Which female artist has more female collaborations than me?” She supported her statement with examples of her work alongside artists like Waje, Ayra Starr, Amaarae, Becca, and Simi.
