Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi, has been honoured with a Golden Legends Honour Medal at the Allstar Charity event.
The award-winning actress took to her Instagram page to share photos of herself proudly holding the medal, expressing gratitude for being recognised among individuals who continue to uplift and impact lives positively.
“Honoured to receive the Golden Legends Honour Medal at this year’s @allstarscharity — awarded to individuals who continue to uplift and impact the lives of others positively.
To keep the spirit alive, I’m donating five bags of rice towards the cause. Together, we say #GameOnHungerOff. Grateful. Always an honour,” she wrote.
Toyin’s gesture reflects her continuous commitment to humanitarian causes and her belief in using her influence to make a difference.
Following her win, her husband, actor Kolawole Ajeyemi, celebrated her achievement on Instagram with a simple but loving message:
“Congratulations, wifey.”
In response, Toyin commented, “Oko mi,” which means “my husband” in Yoruba, showing appreciation for his support.
The Golden Legends Honour Medal adds to Toyin’s growing list of achievements this year. Her latest movie, Alakada: Bad and Boujee, recently ranked as the fifth highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time. Earlier in March, she also received the Trailblazer Award at the 2024 Silverbird Man of the Year Awards for her fearless contributions and impact in Nollywood.
Despite the fame and challenges that come with being in the spotlight, Toyin continues to thrive both in her career and family life. Her marriage to Kolawole Ajeyemi has often been in the public eye, but the couple has consistently shown unity and strength, debunking rumours and affirming their love.
Speaking in a past interview, Toyin shared that her marriage is ordained by God and that she finds peace knowing she and her husband are meant to be together.
