Nollywood actress and producer Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi is ending 2024 on a high note as her latest movie, Alakada: Bad and Boujee, ranks fifth among the highest-grossing films of the year.
The blockbuster raked in over ₦200 million in just 11 days of its cinema release.
Taking to Instagram, Toyin expressed heartfelt gratitude to her fans, fondly known as Toyin Titans, for their unwavering support in making the film a resounding success.
“Thank you, 2024! And thank you, Toyin Titans, for making Alakada: Bad and Boujee the 5th highest-grossing movie of 2024 in just 11 DAYS! This milestone means so much to me, and I couldn’t have done it without your support!”
As she gears up for 2025, Toyin promises to return stronger, aiming to set even bigger records and inspire others in the industry.
“We’re heading into 2025 stronger than ever, ready to set even bigger records! No time for small things, small-minded conversations, or distractions. It’s all about growth, success, and making history!”
Toyin’s success story mirrors that of fellow Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, who faced drama after her film Everybody Loves Jenifa stirred controversy online. Critics alleged cinemas prioritized certain films, sparking debates about favoritism.
Despite the uproar, Funke used the opportunity to thank her fans for their support and urged everyone to remain focused on their goals.
