This is not the first time Toyin Abraham has faced intense scrutiny for her political stance. During and after the last general elections, the actress openly supported President Tinubu—an action that led to severe backlash. She revealed in an interview that she was heavily trolled online, her endorsements were petitioned, and some even campaigned for her movies to be removed from Netflix.
Toyin, however, stood her ground, insisting that she was only exercising her democratic right. She clarified that she never received any financial reward for her support and faced threats and intimidation simply because of her political choice.
