Toyin Adewale joins Nicki Minaj’s pose challenge, and fans can’t keep calm. The Nollywood actress and mother of singer Mayorkun has jumped on the viral trend that has been making waves on TikTok.
For days, American rapper Nicki Minaj has been trending for a squatting pose she struck in her 2013 music video with Lil Wayne. The pose, which features Nicki squatting with crossed legs, has resurfaced online with countless fans and celebrities recreating it.
Toyin took to Instagram to share her version of the challenge, sitting on a chair with one leg stylishly crossed. In her playful caption, she wrote:
“Somebody said what’s going on here?
Nah @nickiminaj challenge ooo
Mesef yaff join.

The video immediately drew hilarious and warm reactions from fans and fellow celebrities:

“Mummy e bole,” actress Wumi Toriola commented.

Others called it cheating in jest, praising her unique twist on the trend.
Toyin isn’t the only celebrity who has joined the fun. Dancer Jane Mena took it to the next level, sharing a video of herself squatting in heels while breastfeeding her child.
Crossdresser James Brown also jumped on the challenge, posing on a pile of blocks with heels, balancing one leg in the air. Known for his dramatic flair, James had previously dressed like Beyoncé in a birthday shoot that made headlines.
Earlier this year, skitmaker Kiekie also channelled Beyoncé in a striking outfit, while in 2023, BBNaija star Nengi Hampson turned heads with her Nicki-inspired red dress for Women’s Day.
