Nollywood actress Toyin Alausa had a heartwarming Sunday as she proudly celebrated her grandson’s first visit to church on August 27th, 2024.
The elated grandmother took to Instagram to share her joy, expressing deep gratitude for the blessings that have filled her life.
In her heartfelt post, Toyin reflected on how God has transformed her life, turning her mourning into dancing, changing her story, and blessing her family with new beginnings. She thanked God for His unending love and acknowledged the support of her family, friends, and the church community who stood by her through it all.

Toyin’s gratitude comes from a place of profound happiness, as she recently became a grandmother, a moment she described as life-changing. Earlier in June, she had shed tears of joy when her grandchild was born, urging her fans to join her in thanking God for the new chapter in her life. She recounted a touching moment from April 1st, 2023, when her son and his wife played a prank on her, pretending to announce a pregnancy. The joy she felt then was a mere preview of the overwhelming happiness she now experiences with her grandson’s arrival.
Toyin’s journey to becoming a grandmother began when her son, Muyiwa Rotimi, got married on September 17th, 2022. The actress was emotional as she witnessed her son embark on his marital journey, sharing the precious moments on social media and praying that all parents get to experience such indescribable joy.
As Muyiwa and his wife celebrated their first wedding anniversary last year, he reminisced about their special day at the Ikoyi Registry, where he made the best decision of his life. He likened their journey to that of a growing baby, evolving from crawling to taking their first steps together.
