Lionel Scaloni, the head coach of Argentina, has finally commented on Lionel Messi’s transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Inter Miami. Scaloni praised Messi for choosing to leave PSG and join Inter Miami, saying it makes him pleased.
After his contract with PSG expires on June 30, Messi will sign with a team in the MLS as a free agent.
Scaloni said in his pre-match press conference prior to Argentina’s international friendly against Australia on Thursday in Beijing,
“I think it’s wonderful that he [Messi] chooses something that makes him happy playing football, regardless of the league.
“The important thing is that he feels good at the club. That’s what it’s all about. He’s earned it. As long as he’s happy, that’s all that matters.”
