Nigerian music artist manager and entrepreneur Ubi Franklin has begun the year by expressing confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.
Sharing his thoughts via his Instagram story, Ubi praised the President for delivering a “most assuring speech,” despite the country’s challenges, and expressed optimism about the future under his administration.
The music manager noted the challenging times Nigerians are facing but expressed his belief that things would improve sooner than expected. He wrote:
“See this man? He is the only president in my lifetime that has the most assuring speech from any Nigerian president. Things might be crãzy for us as a country, but for some reason, I believe it will get better sooner than we think.”
Ubi’s endorsement of President Tinubu comes amid a wave of celebrity support for the current administration.
Ubi Franklin is not alone in his optimism. Last month, actor Yul Edochie praised Tinubu’s administration for improving power supply, claiming that many Nigerian states are now experiencing up to 22 hours of electricity. Yul also acknowledged a reduction in terrorist attacks and described the President as a “Jagaban” (a powerful and strategic figure), a “master strategist,” and a “silent achiever.”
Tonto Dikeh also surprised many with her support for President Tinubu, referencing statistics to show improvements under his leadership and advising citizens against engaging in nationwide protests.
Veteran actor Jide Kosoko, in a recent interview, shared his thoughts on President Tinubu’s leadership, emphasizing that only those who understand the complexities of rebuilding a nation would truly appreciate his efforts. Kosoko also credited Tinubu for being a key figure in Nigeria’s democracy, acknowledging his contributions in the fight for democratic governance.
