Nigerian music executive and talent manager Ubi Franklin has shared an emotional post on social media, revealing he has reached his breaking point while dealing with personal loss, false accusations, and unreciprocated kindness.
Taking to Instagram, Ubi Franklin confessed he woke up overwhelmed by feelings of loss and sadness, explaining that life has thrown him some of its toughest challenges yet. He expressed frustration over how his kindness is rarely returned, despite making sacrifices for people he cares about.
According to him, when false accusations are made against him, people often advise him to ignore them, but the toll on his mental health is real. He said he is now taking steps to acknowledge his emotions, reflect on his values, surround himself with supportive people, practice self-care, set boundaries, and possibly seek professional help.
This emotional outpour comes after a difficult month for Franklin, who recently lost his elder sister. He described her as one of the kindest souls he had ever known and credited her with shaping the man he is today.
The music executive’s grief was compounded by an allegation that he stole a luxury wristwatch during Davido’s white wedding in Miami. Franklin strongly denied the claims, explaining that he legitimately bought a watch from a man named Benny and paid in full. Calling the report false and damaging, he said it was “an extremely difficult and sensitive time” for him and his family.
He also hinted that he knows the source of the rumour, questioning why some people take pleasure in spreading lies. Earlier this year, Franklin had faced online rumours about a confrontation with Cubana Chief Priest, which he dismissed as false.
