Paris Saint-Germain forward, Neymar Jr, has claimed that his attacking partnership with Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi could not lift the Champions League because they “didn’t fit in”.
Neymar made this claim in an interview with YouTuber Casimiro Miguel.
The three forwards played together for two seasons at the Parc des Princes but failed to conquer Europe. PSG was eliminated in the round of 16 on both occasions, losing to Real Madrid and Bayern Munich respectively.
“We had a very strong team. Messi, Mbappé and I are three guys who are the best in the world. We knew it, but unfortunately, we didn’t fit in. It wasn’t good for us,” Neymar said.
However, the Brazilian insisted they wanted to “win everything” but “football is sometimes not the right thing, the fair thing”.
