Nollywood actor and pastor Yul Edochie has resumed his teachings, addressing Nigerians about the undeniable power in the name of Jesus.
In a recent Instagram post, Yul warned against discrediting the name of Jesus, stating that denying its power marks the beginning of downfall.
Edochie acknowledged that some aspects of the white man’s religion may have been altered for human purposes, but urged his followers never to say there is no power in Jesus’ name. He emphasized the importance of understanding history, as those who have made similar claims in the past have not ended well.
In his words:
There is power in the name of Jesus.
Never you say there’s no power in the name.
You can fault the white man’s religion.
Yes, some parts of it have been altered to suit men and not God,
But never you say there’s no power in the name JESUS.
It always marks the beginning of downfall.
Read history, people who have said such in the past never ended well.”
This comes months after Yul sparked reactions by revealing the story of his divine calling. During one of his online services, the actor-turned-pastor admitted that God chose him for his stubbornness. He reflected on how, in 2019, he survived a fatal car accident and believed that God gave him a second chance to preach His word and glorify His name.
In January, Yul Edochie officially launched his own online ministry, The Salvation Ministry, hosting his first service on January 28th. Despite initial skepticism, the actor has continued to share his faith journey, explaining that he briefly paused his ministry to spiritually prepare for God’s work.
