President Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to reinstating peace, law, and order across Nigeria, particularly in regions affected by violent attacks and banditry.

The President conveyed this assurance on Tuesday through the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, during the commissioning of newly constructed housing units in Kaduna State.

The housing initiative, executed in collaboration with the Qatar Charity Organisation, seeks to rehabilitate communities devastated by insecurity. Tinubu emphasised that the federal government remains resolute in its mission to safeguard citizens and foster stability.

“Nigeria is in safe hands, and we will restore law and order. That is an assurance we are giving. It will be done,” President Tinubu declared.

Highlighting the progress made in Kaduna State, Tinubu noted a significant security improvement, attributing it to coordinated efforts between security agencies and the state government. “Recovery is ongoing, and it is clear that fresh air is blowing through Kaduna State.

Things are changing,” he said. He stressed that governance must prioritise the welfare of citizens, particularly those displaced or traumatised by violence.

“We are wiping the tears of victims of extreme violence. We are reconciling communities and creating a sense of inclusion for all,” he added.

President Tinubu commended the Kaduna State Government, the Office of the NSA, and the Chief of Defence Staff for their combined kinetic and non-kinetic strategies in tackling insecurity. He also praised the ‘Kaduna Peace Model,’ describing it as a community-driven and intelligence-based approach to sustainable conflict resolution.

As evidence of progress, Tinubu cited the reopening of Birnin Gwari Market and the return of displaced farmers to their lands. “This is a public declaration that Kaduna State is having a new face—a face of reality and rebuilding,” he stated.

Addressing victims directly, he assured them of the government’s support, saying, “We heard you. You are victims of extreme violence, but we are with you. Your pain is recognised.”

President Tinubu’s remarks underscore his administration’s resolve to address insecurity while fostering reconciliation and development in affected regions.
