The newly sworn-in Special Advisers, Board Chairmen, and Vice-Chairmen have received a warning from Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke that his government would not tolerate rivalry and in-fighting.

Governor Adeleke urged them to uphold the law in the performance of their jobs and said that his government would uphold the rule of law and the due process of law and would not stand for corruption or incompetence.

When the newly appointed Special Advisers and Board Members were sworn in, Governor Adeleke gave a speech that included this warning.

The Governor has written to the Osun State House of Assembly requesting the appointment of 25 Special Advisers.

Later, he provided five more candidates, bringing the total to 30 candidates for Special Advisers.

The appointment of 14 more Special Advisers, bringing the total to 44, was authorised by the Governor after the Assembly accepted the list of Special Advisers nominations.

He pleads them to carry out their responsibilities in an ethical manner.

“My administration believes in following the rule of law and due process all the time.

“I want to advise you to salvage the State with new ideas.

“I will not tolerate corruption and incompetence from you and I will not condone in-fighting and rivalry among the appointees.

“I urge both the Commissioners and the Special Advisers to work harmoniously and in collaboration with the career officers for the good of the State.

“All of you must work within the limit of your powers,” Adeleke said.
