Nasarawa: Gunmen Kidnap four State University students

Four Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) students were kidnapped by armed persons on Monday night.

The kidnapping happened near Angwan Kare after BCG.

It occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m., according to an eyewitness.

Rahila Hanya – SLT 100Level, Josephine Gershon – Computer Science 100Level, Rosemary Samuel – Business Administration 100Level, and Goodness have been identified as the kidnapped students. Samuel is a 100-level geography student.

The Student Union Government chairman, Comrade Oshafu Nuhu Abdulrahman, denounced the crime in a statement made available to DAILY POST, advising students to stay calm and participate in prayers while attempts are made to ensure their release in good health.

He asked students at the college to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity near the school so that security services affiliated with the student community could perform their jobs.

He stated:

“The Students’ Union Government, under the leadership of Comrade Oshafu Nuhu Abdulrahman, wishes to condemn the barbaric act which occurred last night where four students (Rahila Hanya-5LT 100 Level, Josephine Gershon-COM. SCIENCE 100 Level, Rosemary Samuel-BUSINESS ADMIN 100 Level and Goodness Samuel-Geography 100 Level) of our noble institution were kidnapped.

“We urge everyone to remain calm and join hands in prayer as efforts are in place to secure their release in sound health.

“Lastly, students are advised to be on alert and to report any suspicious movement around the campuses to enable swift response from security agencies attached to student communities.”
