Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff, has revealed that the Nigerian Army will go to whatever length to neutralise terrorists, kidnappers, and other criminal groups posing security threats to the country.
He urged commanders at all levels to be clever and daring, claiming that their foes are empowered by weakness since they cannot afford to exhibit much of it.
Speaking at the COAS first quarter conference’s closing ceremony in Abuja, Lagbaja reminded Nigerians of the Nigerian Army’s determination to safeguard the security of lives and property across the country, in collaboration with sister services and other security agencies.
According to COAS:
“I enjoin law-abiding Nigerians to continue to support the Nigerian Army in our efforts to make our territory inviolable, safeguard the lives and properties of loyal citizens, and create the enabling atmosphere for good governance and economic prosperity.”
