Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has announced that his government has made significant progress in infrastructure since taking office a year ago.
Fubara stated that his government had performed better in project execution than his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, throughout his eight-year tenure.
On Saturday, the governor spoke at Ngo Town during the inauguration of the Andoni segment of the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo Unity Road project in Andoni Local Government Area.
He vowed to guarantee that his government completed more infrastructure projects.
According to Fubara:
“Like I said the other day, we just started. We started about three or four months ago but I am very happy that if we have to assess ourselves within those three months, we have done better than people who stayed for eight years, I stand to be challenged.”
Recall that not long after taking office, Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory fell out.
The governor had boasted during the week of having vanquished his political rivals, emphasising that they now slept restlessly and with their eyes wide.
