Six persons were killed and 15 injured in a suicide bomber attack Gwoza in Borno state.
A suicide bomber detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Gwoza town, resulting in catastrophe.
According to NAN, the incident occurred at the bustling Marrarraban Gwoza vehicle park.
Yusuf Lawal, the Borno State Commissioner of Police (CP), confirmed the incident, claiming that it was carried out by a female suicide bomber.
Lawal stated that the Divisional Police Officer in Gwoza notified him that at least six persons had been murdered and 15 others had been transported to a hospital.
According to an eyewitness who identified himself as Buba, the suicide bomber targeted a wedding celebration.
Buba stated that the attack disrupted the pleasure and celebration of the unique day, causing families and loved ones to mourn.
Muhammed Kasim, another witness, stated that the incident occurred at 1:30 p.m.
“We heard a very loud sound of an explosion, accompanied by dust; then we saw bodies on the ground,” he said.
Kasim stated that numerous people were taken to the hospital as security personnel were sent to clean up the scene.
