Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has hit back at a fan who wished she would remain single, stating that she is only focused on securing her bag.
The movie star took to Instagram to announce that she had signed a major deal and was busy chasing “big bags,” making it clear where her priorities lie.
Signed a mega deal today. Unveiling soon. Agbomagiveadamn. Busy chasing big bags,” Nkechi shared in her post.
However, one fan commented that they preferred her when she wasn’t in love, claiming she was more focused and “cashing out” during those times. In response, Nkechi did not hold back, questioning the fan’s mindset and wishing that they would never experience love.
Na you no go dey in love. Which kind nonsense comment be this one,” Nkechi fired back.
This exchange comes just weeks after rumors circulated about a possible breakup between Nkechi and her current boyfriend, Xxssive. However, the actress silenced the gossip by publicly celebrating him on his birthday. Sharing photos of him in a suit, she cheekily clarified that it was his birthday, not his wedding day. She described him as a special being and her only “headache,” wishing him God’s blessings.
Earlier this year, Nkechi clashed with fans over her relationship. One fan questioned if Nkechi’s boyfriend truly made her happy, to which she confidently responded that her boyfriend was no “loose dog.”
The actress, who had previously hinted at being ready for marriage following the buzz from Davido and Sharon Ooja’s weddings, has always been open about her relationships. Despite the critics who shame her for dating younger men, Nkechi remains unapologetic, sharing clips of romantic gestures from her boyfriend and proudly stating that younger men “stay winning.”
In a bold move, Nkechi also laid down the law for her female friends, warning them not to flirt or “shine teeth” with her man and making it clear that they are not permitted to date her ex-boyfriends either.
