Mercy Chinwo and Obidiz

Afrobeats musician Obi Lawson, also known as Obidiz, has responded to Mercy Chinwo. The Gospel singer had previously threatened to sue him for the illegal use of her face and name. As well as also seek N2 billion in damages. Remember how Mercy Chinwo demanded that Obidiz remove his song,Mercy Chinwo,” from all streaming platforms for disparagingly utilizing her name and picture in secular music audio and video? She did this through her attorney, Pelumi Olajengbesi.

She forewarned that failure to comply would result in legal action. This could include asking the court to punish him with a fine of N2 billion in damages. Obidiz responded on his Twitter page on Saturday, claiming he simply sang a song and that he didn’t carry out any murder. He described how the song was about a woman he had met.

“Na song I sing I no kill person,” he said in his note.
