Nigerian comedian and Box Office King, Ayo Makun (AY), is reportedly engaged in a bitter custody dispute with his estranged wife, Mabel Makun, over their second child.
According to popular blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus, Mabel has denied AY any access to their second daughter, creating a tense situation for the couple.
The conflict escalated when AY, unable to reach his daughter since Mabel left the marriage, resorted to contacting the child’s nanny to speak to his daughter. However, when Mabel discovered the communication, she allegedly fired the nanny, and AY responded by offering her a job in his home. The issue has now become a legal matter, with a judge expected to rule on AY’s visitation rights and co-parenting arrangements.
An insider revealed that the situation has become so toxic that no one can intervene, and the estranged couple’s relationship continues to deteriorate. The ongoing custody battle is part of a broader separation saga, with the couple’s divorce proceedings reportedly underway.
AY and Mabel’s marriage, which lasted nearly 20 years, officially ended in April 2023, with both parties reflecting on their regrets and the challenges of navigating public scrutiny.
