Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has openly called out fellow actress Moyo Lawal, issuing a stern warning after a tense encounter.
Sharing a video of their altercation on Instagram, Laide made it clear that Moyo was fortunate she was in a good mood. The actress emphasized that she doesn’t stoop low to roll in the mud, but next time Moyo might not be as lucky.
In the post, Laide tagged Moyo, saying, “@moyolawalofficial Thank your God I was in a good mood tonight + I don’t roll in the mud. Be warned, next time you might not be as lucky.”
While some fans speculated whether the drama was genuine or staged, others were curious about the backstory. Comments poured in from fans who playfully engaged with the situation:
- One user, D_kpromamakeover, wrote, “Ok we need part 2.”
- _shuqroh commented, “I took like Vawulence. Was actually hoping she push her own back, make everywhere scatter.”
- Ryanzee Babe humorously asked, “Shey na play ni?”
- Hayzeed4real added, “Vawulence everywhere.”
- Orobo Mesah chimed in, “Palava everywhere.”
This isn’t the first time Laide Bakare has found herself in the middle of a public feud. Earlier this month, she had a heated argument with some individuals on a movie set who she claimed were trying to take advantage of her. Laide stood her ground, stating that with the current state of affairs in Nigeria, she wouldn’t tolerate any form of disrespect.
Laide Bakare has become known for her no-nonsense attitude, frequently confronting her colleagues when necessary. Earlier in the year, she had a heated online exchange with actress Chizzy Alichi. The conflict began after Laide accused Chizzy of giving her a harsh reaction during a rehearsal. Chizzy fired back, calling Laide jealous and expressing her disappointment. Things escalated quickly, with Laide promising to deal with Chizzy ruthlessly.
Another public spat occurred between Laide and actress Eniola Badmus. The drama unfolded when Eniola threw shade at Laide’s outfit during her book launch, comparing it to that of Pastor Adejara. Laide accused Eniola and others of failing to celebrate her achievements and only pointing out her flaws. In response, Eniola reminded Laide of previous insults and made it clear she was ready for any confrontation, highlighting her love for “violence.”
In a separate incident, Laide Bakare responded to trolls criticizing her career. Reflecting on her 16-year journey in Nollywood, she shared an old clip from a movie set and asked where the trolls were when she started her career. Laide declared she wasn’t afraid to clap back, as long as she saw negative comments directed at her.
