President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after leaving South Africa to co-chair the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission, or BNC, with President Cyril Ramaphosa.
President Tinubu landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 9:10 p.m.
He was met by the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
Others included the All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, and FCT Commissioner of Police, Peter Opara.
The 11th session of the BNC included discussions in eight working groups, each focused on a distinct topic of mutual interest.
Political consultations, consular and migration services, banking and finance, defence and security, manufacturing, social sector, mining and energy, and trade and investment were among them.
At the high-level meeting, both nations’ representatives signed a number of Memoranda of Understanding and agreements.
The Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission was founded in 1999 to improve the friendship and collaboration between the two countries.
