Criminal hideouts that were causing ongoing civil disturbance in Ezioha, Eziama Autonomous Community in Mbaitoli LGA Imo State, have been destroyed by a team of security personnel from the Nigeria Police Force, Armed Forces, Department of State Security Service, DSS, and Nigeria Civil Defense.
According to a press statement sent to journalists by ASP Henry Okoye, the public relations officer for the State Police Command, the operation resulted in the death of four suspects, the apprehension of five others, and the collection of several guns and other objects connected to the suspects.
Okoye said that the combined security forces’ in Imo state increased efforts to enhance security and fight insurgency were responsible for the operation’s success.
He emphasized that several security services have stepped up their efforts to break up criminal networks that operate within the Imo state under the aegis of “Operation Udoka.”
