A violent attack by armed bandits has left 15 farmers dead and three others injured in a rural community in Kebbi State.
The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when the assailants stormed the village, opening fire on farmers working in their fields.
According to local sources, the bandits arrived on motorcycles, armed with sophisticated weapons, and carried out the attack without any immediate resistance.
The victims were reportedly ambushed while tending to their crops, leaving the community in shock and mourning. Among the injured, two are said to be in critical condition and have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Residents of the area expressed frustration over the recurring attacks, lamenting the lack of adequate security despite repeated appeals to authorities.
