Congratulations have been pouring in for Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa, as she joyfully announces the birth of her first child, a baby boy, in the United States.
Fans and colleagues alike have flooded her social media with heartfelt messages, celebrating this milestone in her life.
The exciting news was first shared by Nollywood Citadel on Instagram, where it was reported that the actress had delivered her bundle of joy in the US. Dayo Amusa, who had previously hinted at her joy with a post on her Instagram story, shared a moving message from gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori, which reflected her journey to motherhood.
Many online followers, remembering the years of taunts about her inability to conceive, have expressed joy in seeing God’s blessings unfold in Dayo’s life. One follower wrote,
Congratulations to her, Olorun a woo,” while another reflected on how God’s timing is always perfect, saying, “I remember when someone mocked her about not having a child… God works in miraculous ways.”
Dayo Amusa, in her Instagram post, expressed immense gratitude to her Maker and shared the joyful news with her fans. However, she clarified that the newborn’s photos circulating online were not of her baby, promising to share the real treasure soon.
The actress’ post, saying “Alhamdulilahi. My treasure has arrived. It’s a boy,” was met with love and prayers from fans, friends, and colleagues. Nollywood stars like Toyin Abraham, Biola Bayo, and Moyo Lawal all rejoiced with Dayo, sending their blessings and congratulatory messages.
For years, Dayo had faced public scrutiny and ridicule over her childlessness. The actress had previously addressed this painful issue, using her platform to stand up against the trolls and share her own journey of overcoming personal challenges. Last year, she had gone live on Instagram to lay curses on those who mocked her, showing that she would not tolerate cruelty.
In the past, Dayo also opened up about her struggles in an abusive relationship, admitting that she stayed in it for too long, hoping she could fix someone who was emotionally unavailable. It was only after realizing that she could not “fix” others that she found peace and strength to move forward. Now, with the arrival of her son, she is starting a new chapter in her life filled with love and happiness.
