Suspected bandits have attacked Unguwar Danko near Dogon Dawa village in Birnin Gwari Area of Kaduna State, killing nine farmers and abducting three more. According to a person who made this information public on Saturday, the tragedy happened on a Saturday afternoon when the victims worked in their fields.
Yahaya Musa, a member-elect for the State House of Assembly representing the Kakangi Constituency, confirmed that the victims were all farmers. Yahya also stated that they promptly transported individuals with bullet wounds to hospitals for medical treatment. He said;
“Yes, it was confirmed to me this Sunday morning that nine farmers were killed by bandits at Unguwar Danko near Dogon Dawa village on Saturday afternoon and others sustained gunshot injuries”.
Additionally, Yahya claims that when some locals angrily attacked the robbers, the bandits shot some of them.
However, The Kaduna State Government has not commented on the claimed incident.
Additionally, DSC Mohammed Jalige, the Police Public Relations Officer, did not respond to calls or texts addressed to him.
