Tina Knowles, the mother of Beyoncé, has recently experienced a distressing incident as her Los Angeles-area home was reportedly broken into, resulting in the loss of $1 million in cash and jewelry.
According to TMZ, the 69-year-old entrepreneur discovered the missing items on Wednesday, July 5, when someone she knew visited her estate. Tina was out of town when the burglary, was alerted to the situation.
The manner in which the trespassers gained access to the house and managed to take off with the safe remains unknown. Law enforcement authorities are actively investigating the incident, scouring for video footage and contacting neighbours for potential leads.
This unfortunate event follows a previous incident in April when Knowles alerted the police after hearing unusual noises near her property. TMZ reported that a man was found throwing rocks at her mailbox on Saturday, April 1. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, the suspect fled the scene, but a helicopter kept track of his movements, resulting in his swift capture and subsequent arrest. The individual exhibited erratic behaviour and was placed on a psychiatric hold.
Tina Knowles shares the residence with her husband, Richard Lawson, aged 76, and both are working closely with authorities in hopes of finding the culprits and recovering the stolen valuables.
