Nollywood actress Bimpe Akintunde has responded to a troll who slid into her Instagram DM just to tell her he hates her. The mother of two shared a screenshot of the message, wondering how anyone still has the energy for hate with everything Nigerians are dealing with.
According to her, the troll was using a fake page, watching her stories consistently, yet still had the boldness to message her directly. Bimpe questioned how someone would create a fake account, monitor her life online, and still think their hatred meant anything to her. She added that she doesn’t know him, but God does, and she has handed him over to God while advising him to find a better job for himself.
She wrote that she barely notices people who hate her, especially at this stage of her life, and reminded her followers that her focus is on progress, not online negativity. Bimpe also encouraged fans to watch the latest episode of her series, noting that life is too short to give attention to faceless trolls.
This isn’t the first time the actress is addressing issues around negativity. Just last month, she urged women to be kinder to themselves, saying women are often their own biggest problem. In the past, she has also publicly cursed scammers impersonating her and expressed her frustration with colleagues who snub birthday greetings.
Bimpe has always been open about her boundaries, revealing in 2023 that she keeps her circle very small because of how easily friendships fall apart in the industry. For her, once a friendship ends, she simply moves on quietly.
