According to sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have verbally agreednt with Saudi’s Al Ahli to sell Edouard Mendy.

As revealed last week, Mendy agreed to personal terms on a three-year deal with Al Ahli. If all goes to plan, they will check and sign contracts.

The 31-year-old lost his place to Kepa last season, only featuring for Chelsea once after the Winter World Cup.

Incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly plans to go into next season with Kepa Arrizabalaga as his first-choice goalkeeper.

While playing for Chelsea, Mendy won the following accolades: Best FIFA Goalkeeper, Champions League best goalkeeper of the Season, Champions League Squad of the Season, Ghana Football Awards Best African International, and AFCON best goalkeeper.

Additionally, Ziyech and Koulibaly may transfer to Saudi Arabian clubs, and agreements are expected to be finalized soon. Also, Kante is anticipated to join Al Ittihad as his Chelsea contract expires.
