Juventus faces a substantial payout of nearly €20 million (£17m/$21m) to Cristiano Ronaldo following his successful legal dispute against the club over frozen wages.
Ronaldo took Juventus to court last year over unpaid salaries during the Covid-19 pandemic, winning his case against the Serie A outfit. The 39-year-old demanded £17.15 million ($21.3m) in deferred wages, a battle he has now emerged victorious from.
This legal defeat poses a significant financial challenge for Juventus, as other players might follow suit. Paulo Dybala had previously reached a similar agreement with the club, receiving approximately £2.6 million ($3.2m) in owed wages.
Having left Juventus for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo continues his football journey. His next fixture sees Al-Nassr hosting Al Feiha, followed by an away game against Al-Khaleej on April 27.
