Nigerian superstar Davido continues to win hearts — not just with his music but with his consistent acts of generosity.
In a video currently making the rounds online, Davido gifts fan $1000 for birthday after unexpectedly walking into a restaurant where the young lady was dining. The moment the fan spotted the music star, she screamed with excitement and told him it was her birthday.
Without hesitation, Davido gifted her $1,000 (over ₦1.5 million) in cash and posed for photos with her, leaving her stunned and speechless.
This is not the first time the “Unavailable” crooner is blessing fans with surprise gifts.
Just recently, he gifted an X user who manages one of his fan pages a whopping ₦5 million, asking them to get a new hairstyle and enjoy the money. The gesture sent waves across social media, with fans applauding Davido for his thoughtfulness.
A few weeks earlier, Davido also promised a Ghanaian TikToker $5,000 (over ₦9 million) after being impressed by his flawless rendition of the singer’s hit song With You. He directed the young man to contact his associate, Deekay DMW, to receive the money.
Last year, during his historic sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden in New York, Davido gave $50,000 to a female student to help her clear her school loans.
He also surprised a die-hard Nigerian fan — a tricycle driver — who had decorated his keke with Davido’s stickers. After the video went viral, Davido rewarded him with ₦1 million.
In another instance, the singer gave out ₦2 million to a female TikToker living in the trenches. Her raw and honest video showing how she made a humble substitute for fried rice and chicken touched Davido, who, through blogger Tunde Ednut, sent her the cash gift.
