Olumide Akpata, former National President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), has emerged as the Labour Party’s (LP) governorship candidate in Edo State.
Akpata won the LP primary election conducted in the state capital, Benin City, on Friday.
He was proclaimed the victor of the primary after receiving the most votes.
Akpata received 316 votes, defeating other candidates in a landslide victory.
