Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has appointed a new commissioner and 22 special advisers.
Governor Yahaya declared during the swearing-in event on Thursday at Gombe’s Banquet Hall that the appointments were a call to service rather than an invitation to political luxury and profligacy.
He asked the new appointments to assist the state overcome its issues with determination and integrity.
In his words:
“The individuals taking the oath of office today have been carefully selected for their unwavering loyalty, proven commitment, and relentless hard work.
“Many of them served with distinction during my first term and are now entrusted with new mandates to serve Gombe State.”
Reflecting on his administration’s accomplishments since 2019, Governor Yahaya emphasised the strong foundation of hard work, resilience, and commitment to the people’s well-being, noting that the administration’s various people-oriented policies and programmes had propelled the state to greater heights, earning domestic and international recognition.
Yahaya said:
“Our achievements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and rural development have turned Gombe into a model worthy of emulation by other states.
“We have also implemented public service reforms to enhance efficiency, transparency, and service delivery.
“As senior public officials, I trust you will lead by example, fostering a culture of integrity and excellence in all your endeavors.”
He demanded the newly appointed officials to fully support the administration’s reforms and objectives to guarantee their effective execution.
