Nollywood actress Ini Edo has shared a heartfelt appreciation post following the successful burial of her father, Elder Jonathan Ekim, in Akwa Ibom, his hometown.
Taking to Instagram, Ini Edo described her late father as a man after God’s heart, a lover of life, and the heart of the party. In her moving post, she reflected on the spiritual, physical, and financial challenges her family faced since his passing in December. She expressed pride in how her family came together to honor their father with a befitting farewell.
“To the glory of God, we gave our father a funeral befitting for a man after God’s heart, a lover of life, and the heart of the party,” Ini wrote.
The burial ceremony was attended by notable Nollywood celebrities, including Rita Dominic, Ruth Kadiri, Nancy Isime, Uche Jombo, Lilian Afegbai, Real Warri Pikin, Desmond Elliot, and IK Ogbonna. Their presence was a testament to Ini Edo’s impact in the industry and the bond she shares with her colleagues.
Ini Edo extended her appreciation to the Akwa Ibom State government, including Governor Umo Eno and Deputy Governor Akon Eyakenyi, for their support during this difficult time. She also acknowledged the immediate past Governor, Udom Emmanuel, for his presence and assistance.
