Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has declared August 20 as a work-free day to commemorate 2024 Isese Day.
Makinde made the statement on Wednesday. Professor Olanike Adeyemo, Secretary to the Oyo State Government, made the news in a circular, which was made accessible to pressmen by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

The statement read:
“The Governor, (Seyi Makinde) in the circular, encouraged all traditional worshippers and all citizens to use the day to pray for the peace, unity and stability of the state in particular and the country in general.”
