JAMB mandates fresh upload of O’Level Results for 2025 admission seekers

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a directive requiring all candidates who uploaded their O’level results prior to the official release of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results to visit accredited centres and re-upload their credentials.

This announcement was made in the Board’s official weekly news bulletin on Monday, August 25, 2025.

JAMB explained that this measure is necessary to maintain the integrity of the admission process. The Board has taken the step of clearing all previously uploaded O’level results from its system.

This action is intended to prevent any discrepancies and to guarantee that only the final, official results released by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) are used for processing admissions into tertiary institutions.

The bulletin highlighted that a number of candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) under the “awaiting result” category had prematurely uploaded incomplete or provisional WAEC records.

To resolve this situation fairly and ensure uniformity, JAMB has made a fresh upload compulsory for every affected candidate. This requirement stands regardless of whether the final results are identical to or differ from the ones previously submitted.

Consequently, all UTME candidates are strongly advised to promptly re-upload their final 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results on the official JAMB portal. Compliance with this directive is essential for candidates to maintain their eligibility for admission consideration in the 2025/2026 academic session.
