Kanayo Kanayo Declares Victor Osimhen ‘Footballer of the Year’ After Super Eagles’ AFCON Triumph

Nollywood actor Kanayo Kanayo has lavished praise on footballer Victor Osimhen following the Super Eagles’ triumphant win over Cameroon in the ongoing 2023 AFCON. The Super Eagles secured a spot in the quarterfinals with a 2-0 victory.

In response to the news, Kanayo Kanayo hailed Victor Osimhen, particularly commending him for scoring the second goal. Declaring him the “Footballer of the Year,” Kanayo emphasized that Victor has demonstrated the qualities deserving of such recognition.

In his congratulatory message to Nigerians, Kanayo also highlighted the principle that to whom much is given, much is expected, echoing the pride and expectations associated with the success of the Super Eagles.

Other celebrities, including Adeniyi Johnson and Susan Peters, also celebrated the Super Eagles’ victory. Adeniyi Johnson humorously questioned the possibility of losing a match after traveling to Cote d’Ivoire, playfully adding that he would have resigned as the Assistant Coach if Nigeria had lost. He went on to predict a 3-0 victory over Anglo and playfully mocked Ghana.

Susan Peters, in her celebratory message, humorously inquired about the well-being of Cameroonians (Lions) and urged Nigerians to flood her comment section with their identification details.

In a separate commentary, Kanayo Kanayo expressed his concerns about the state of Nollywood, emphasizing that it shouldn’t become a platform for Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), sex workers, Instagram stars, and homosexuality. He called out social media influencers infiltrating Nollywood, predicting that their influence would be short-lived in the industry.
