Omobolanride Akinyanju, popularly known as Ashabi, a Nollywood actress and babymama to singer Portable, recently shared insights into her love story with the artist in an interview with Biola Bayo.
Despite the unconventional nature of their relationship, Ashabi candidly revealed the dynamics and emotions involved.
Initially skeptical of commitment, Ashabi expressed her fear of entering a relationship with Portable due to potential conflicts and heartbreak. She doubted the conventional wisdom that relationships lead to marriages. However, Portable, with sincerity, assured her of his intentions to marry, and their journey as friends began.
Ashabi also shared her initial concerns about Portable’s marital status, but he clarified that he didn’t have just one wife, alleviating some of her worries.
The actress recounted a memorable moment early in their relationship when Portable’s assertiveness and playfulness won her over. She admitted that within weeks of dating, she found herself deeply in love to the point that she would cry if Portable didn’t kiss her.
Despite Portable being married and having multiple partners, Ashabi revealed that she feels like he is married to her alone. She humorously shared her imagination that whenever he is away, he is working for their sustenance, and when he returns, he comes to her exclusively.
In a surprising twist, Ashabi expressed her devotion by praying for Portable’s health, even in the context of his multiple relationships. She humorously mentioned that if they were to face any challenges, they would face them together.
Portable had previously hinted at marrying Ashabi, calling her his third wife in an Instagram post where she was dressed as an Edo bride. Ashabi confirmed being the fourth woman in Portable’s house. Despite their unconventional relationship, Ashabi publicly appreciated Portable for being her rock and support throughout the year.
