The Kano State House of Assembly has approved a N99 billion supplemental budget to allow the state government to enact more services and the new minimum wage.

The state government would be able to execute the new minimum wage and other services, according to Speaker of the House Alhaji Jibril Falgor, since the budget would extend the money on recurring, personnel, and overhead costs.

The Speaker of the House thanked his colleagues for their efforts in ensuring the law passed quickly.

According to NAN, Governor Abba Kabir-Yusuf presented the N99 billion supplemental budget to the state parliament on August 20.

The majority leader stated in his speech that the state’s 2024 budget now stands at N536 billion following the supplementary budget’s approval.
