Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has reaffirmed that he has not sought to leave the team this summer. The letter he wrote to the Ligue 1 winners, in his opinion, was leaked to “damage his image.”
Kylian Mbappe also took to Twitter on Tuesday to label reports that he wants to join Real Madrid this summer as “lies,” adding he is “very happy” with the French giants.
On Monday, reports emerged that Mbappe wrote to PSG informing them of his decision not to trigger the clause in his current contract for an extension until summer 2025, making him a free agent next summer.
In a statement made today, Mbappe said that the club had known about his decision for almost a year. He clarified that he sent the letter to confirm what he and the club had discussed earlier.
