Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank, and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, are among the African leaders from the private and public sectors, civil society, and academia who will gather in Lagos for the African Leadership Review Summit and Awards to discuss the continent’s leadership challenges.
The summit, entitled ‘Transformational Leadership in a Changing World,’ will take place on July 7, 2023, and will also focus on challenges impacting Africa and how the continent can leverage its rich resources to improve people’s development.
According to Africa Leadership Review Media Limited, the Africa Leadership Excellence Summit will bring in a day of fresh ideas that would be both enlightening and exciting.
According to the statement-
“The summit will be providing delegates with a greater understanding of how operational effectiveness and efficiency are vital to organisational success. It is aimed at anyone looking to improve leadership competence, organisation performance and networking opportunities,”.
The Excellence in Corporate Enterprise and Leadership Awards, according to the Chief Executive Officer of ALEX 2023, Mrs Ifeioam Emeka, the summit’s organizers, are an initiative to celebrate selected African personalities and organisations that have made an impact on the development of Africa’s economy through their leadership experience in their various fields of endeavour.
She stated-
“Based on verifiable criteria gathered through voluntary disclosure and opening available data, we seek to rate leadership/institutions on their performance in various aspects of leadership excellence. The essence of the Excel Africa Award is to encourage excellence in leadership and competitiveness in Africa”.
