The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, has asserted that there is concrete evidence proving that Naira Marley and Sam Larry are not implicated in the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. Commissioner Owohunwa made these statements while addressing reporters on Friday.

According to the Commissioner, documentary evidence confirms that both Naira Marley and Sam Larry were out of the country when Mohbad passed away. However, he revealed that there is electronic evidence suggesting that Sam Larry subjected Mohbad to physical assault before his demise.

Owohunwa stated,

There is evidence that Naira Marley and Sam Larry have nothing to do with Mohbad’s death. Documentary evidence shows that both Naira Marley and Sam Larry were not in the country during the singer’s death.”

He further explained,

However, there is electronic evidence that Sam Larry bullied the singer, and this he admitted. Sam Larry admitted to physically assisting Mohbad over the two million naira the singer collected for his mother’s burial but failed to perform during the event.”

The clarification by the Commissioner aims to dispel any misconceptions regarding Naira Marley and Sam Larry’s involvement in the tragic incident. The revelation of physical assault brings attention to a troubling aspect of Mohbad’s experience, shedding light on the complexities surrounding the circumstances leading to his untimely death.
