According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool has triggered the 60 million euros release clause of RB Leipzig’s Dominic Szobaszlai.

Romano has reported that the Reds have indeed triggered the full €70 million release clause to sign the Hungary international, with personal terms also agreed between the player and Liverpool

Liverpool has met with the representatives of RB Leipzig midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.

The 22-year-old has a £60m release clause in his contract which is understood to expire on June 30.

Newcastle who had earlier indicated interest in the midfielder have pulled out of the race for him.

If the deal is finalised, the 22-year-old will become Liverpool’s second summer signing, after they completed a deal to sign Alexis Macallister from Brighton earlier in June.

He would become the club’s fourth-most expensive signing of all time, behind Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker and Darwin Nunez.
