Former Big Brother Naija housemate Lucy Edet has stirred controversy with her recent revelation about a harrowing encounter with the security detail of music superstar Davido.
Lucy recounted her experience at a nightclub where she narrowly escaped harm after one of Davido’s convoy vehicles almost collided with her and her friend. Fortunately, they escaped unscathed, but not without exchanging heated words with the singer’s security team. Lucy claimed that some individuals received physical altercations from Davido’s security personnel.

Her revelation sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some condemning Davido’s security team’s alleged behaviour while others questioned the authenticity of Lucy’s account.
Amid the reactions, Testimonial Official criticized the backlash Lucy received, suggesting that people were quick to attack her instead of addressing the underlying issues.
However, 102 Question raised concerns about Davido’s security allegedly resorting to violence against fans, stating that such actions would lead to legal repercussions if Davido were an American singer.
While some fans defended Davido, others expressed disappointment and called for accountability, emphasizing that assault is a serious offense regardless of celebrity status.
This incident adds to a series of controversies involving Davido’s security team. Weeks prior, Davido’s aide, Lati, was caught on camera assaulting two fans who attempted to take pictures with the singer. Skitmaker Mr. Macaroni and actress Anita Joseph were among those who condemned the actions, describing them as dehumanizing and unfair.
In previous incidents, Davido himself was captured knocking a fan’s phone during an event and displaying a defensive stance when a fan stormed the stage during his concert.
