Nollywood Yoruba actor Mustapha Sholagbade is starting the year on a joyous note as he and his wife welcome their third child.
The actor, known for his work in the Yoruba film industry, received an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues alike. The news of his newborn’s arrival was shared by his colleague Yetunde Barnabas, who also celebrated his birthday along with the joyous occasion.
On social media, Yetunde Barnabas took to Instagram to share the wonderful news, posting a photo of Mustapha Sholagbade alongside an image of his newborn baby. She congratulated the actor, wishing him and his family health, wealth, and happiness.
Her post read:
“Happy birthday and congratulations on your new bundle of joy, musty @mustiphasholagbade. Wishing you many more years of good health and wealth. GOD bless the newborn.”
Mustapha responded in the comments, expressing gratitude with a simple but heartfelt message:
“Thanks dear.”
This marks the third child for Mustapha and his wife, who welcomed their second child, a baby boy, in 2022. At the time, Mustapha took to social media to show his appreciation to his wife and to thank God for the blessing of expanding their family.
The actor and his American-based wife tied the knot in August 2017, following a public dispute with his baby mama, Nollywood makeup artist Adewunmi Faitai (known as Glitter’s Touch). The relationship between Mustapha and his baby mama had been rocky, with tensions flaring on several occasions.
Last year, Glitter’s Touch publicly criticized Mustapha on his birthday, accusing him of being a deadbeat father. She listed multiple ways he had failed to care for their son. In response, Nollywood actress Bukunmi Oluwasina tearfully appealed to Mustapha to reunite with his son and be the father he needed, urging him not to let his child suffer because of his past mistakes.
In more positive news, Mustapha recently celebrated his wife on her birthday, praising her for her unwavering support throughout their journey together. Reflecting on the challenges they had faced, he vowed to dedicate his life to her, acknowledging her as the best thing that had ever happened to him. He expressed his desire to continue making her happy, despite his reservations about proving it in public just yet.
