Oside Oluwole, a Nigerian scientist and auto salesman known as Khoded, has set the new world record for the longest gaming marathon.
The Guinness World Record (GWR) announced the news in a social media post.
Khoded, 24, established the record by playing a football videogame for 75 hours, with over 500 games played.
In 2022, he exceeded the previous 50-hour record set by Englishman David Whitefoot.
The scientist set out to gather cash for a small hospital in his birthplace, Iejbu-Ode.
GWR announced Oluwole’s achievement, saying:
“Before no one in the past has broken this record by such a large margin as Oside has. It was first set in 2010 with a time of 24 hours and gradually increased to 50 hours after being beaten seven times in 11 years.”
